About
The Center for Sustainable Manufacturing and Life Cycle Engineering pursues a systemic approach towards the integrated design of products and processes under the requirements of a sustainable development (technical, economic and ecological). It is collocated with the Institute of Machine Tools and Production Technology (IWF) of the Technische Universität Braunschweig.
It benefits from the experience provided by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Christoph Herrmann, who is the co-director of the IWF, full professor for Sustainable Manufacturing & Life Cycle Engineering and besides also head of the Fraunhofer Institute for Surface Engineering and Thin Films IST Braunschweig.
